Backstage Whispers    The Newsletter of Peoria Players Theatre    March 2010

Arthur Miller Drama Comes to Life

Director Lana Warner is very excited to bring Arthur Miller's All My Sons to the Peoria Players stage.  This Tony Award winning drama most recently starred John Lithgow, Katie Holmes, and Dianne Wiest in the 2008 Broadway revival.  It is the story of a family entangled in the complexities of personal responsibilities and patriotic duties.  Lana is hard at work developing the power and intensity in this play; something audiences will definitely remember.  The production runs on March 12, 13, 18, 19 and 20 at 7:30 pm, and March 14 and 21 at 2:30.  Tickets are just $12 for adults, $9 for patrons 18 and under, and are on sale now.  Call our box office at 688-4473.

 Cast Announced

Director Mark Baugher has assembled a terrific cast for the regional premiere production of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.  The group is as follows: Mike Reams-Lawrence Jameson; Zach Hoesly-Freddy Benson; Molly Smith-Christine Colgate; Sally Lawrence-Knapp-Muriel Eubanks; Stephen K. Stone-Andre'; Katy Hawley-Jolene Oaks; and ensemble members Megan Jennings, Jarod Hazzard, Amber Katz, George Maxedon, Kelsey Burd, Andrea Nicole Glanton, Matt Stubbs, Amanda Bishop, Sarah Beth Tolbert, Lauren Trerice, Jameson Duggan, Megan Hamilton, Katy Hawley, Aliesha Graves, Charlie Brown, Brian McKinley, and Alex Larson.  Mark's equally talented crew includes Theresa Black-Stage Manager/Production Secretary; Katy Atwell-Lights; Charles Killen-Set Design; Ken Hupp-Set Construction; Nancy Wraight-Props; Paula Graves-Costumes; and Josh Thomas-Makeup/Hair.  Mark and his company will present an outstanding show so don't miss out.  Performance dates are May 7-9 and 13-16.  Tickets are $17 for adults, $12 for patrons 18 and under, and will be on sale April 19 to season ticket holders and April 26 to the general public.
