Synopsis:

This off-Broadway play, made into a successful movie in 1989, is a comedy-drama about the bond among a group of southern women in northwest Louisiana, all centered around Truvy's beauty parlor.  The characters in this play possess the special qualities to make them truly touching, funny and marvelously amiable company in good times and bad.
